Nice thing about San Francisco - there is no dearth of security systems for your bicycle, if you want them. Well, there is the weather. Today is pretty great outside, and the back windows face out to neighboring gardens, and with the windows open I here traffic, wind, seagulls, hummingbirds, and I swear a solitary duck (which is a mystery). I never was around them much the rest of my life in Georgia, so to me, hummingbird chirping sounds like alien bip-hop musicians trying to communicate. Anyway, so the first bike shop I went into here carried these skewers that are “locking” and require a special tool to remove the wheels (AND the seatpost, which is really great). I picked these up today on the way back from biking up to pay rent (”rent” as opposed to “mortgage” being a downside of SF).
