Apparently, Apple knows how to deliver a product in a fashion that matches or exceeds demand. Who thought that could be possible; according to the iPhone availability checker on Apple’s site, there are many stores who still have the iPhone in stock for those people interested in just buying one at retail price from the store without getting totally ripped off by a bunch of lazy sods who thought they could make a fast buck by sitting in a line for 12 hours. (btw, that’s not really a *fast* buck) Thanks goes out to Sony and Microsoft for making everyone think that it’s normal to stand in line for days or pay 3 times the retail price for a gadget (well, if you consider game consoles gadgets…). Still not going to buy one, at least for a while, but it’s strangely nice to know I could.
