There has been speculation as to the release of the new Apple iBooks (or MacBooks as they are being speculated to be called), and today found this interesting little snafu at apple.com/ipod. For some reason the blank apple page was displayed with the breadcrumb menu “home > hardware > macbook” as seen in this screencapture, and was taken down sometime after 10 or so EST. As I just sold my powerbook, I’m looking forward to hearing about the new MacBooks before buying a new MacBook, “Pro” or not, depending on the specs. According to the rumor mill, the Apple stores have also received promo packages sealed and labelled with instructions to not open until May 9th, next Tuesday…and the rumor mill continues to churn…
